After a month-on-month increase in total cannabis sales in Canada since legalization, Health Canada’s latest update shows us a decline in September 2019, which is a first for almost a year.
Total sales are 122.9 million in the country, a decrease of 2.6 million compared to August 2019.
Sales are still dominated by Ontario with 31.8 million followed by Quebec with 26.2 million and Alberta with 25.8 million
A total of 7 provinces experienced a decline in sales, including Ontario. Quebec continues to grow with a 1.3 million increase to move closer to Ontario.
It should be noted that several provinces have started to change their sales models which should show us significant increases in the coming months.
